Shamrock Technologies to Begin Expansion

Shamrock Technologies, Inc. has announced an expansion to their Community Drive location.  The expansion is expected to begin sometime in March and will create an additional 21 jobs.

According to Mark Stanczyk, Plant Manager for both Henderson facilities, they have been taking bids for the 40,000 SF expansion.  “Shamrock Technologies is one of the world’s largest processors of Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) as well as a world-wide supplier of a broad line of micronized powders.”  Shamrock Technologies, a privately owned international corporation headquartered in Newark, New Jersey, has two facilities in Henderson as well as a facility in Belgium.

Shamrock has been recently approved by the Kentucky Economic Development Finance Authority (KEDFA) in Frankfort for tax incentives/credits to assist them in the expansion.  Shamrock was approved for nearly $350,000 is tax incentives.  The State tax incentives/credits are available not only to new business, but also to existing businesses.   Northwest Kentucky Forward and the Cabinet for Economic Development worked with Shamrock to obtain the tax incentives/credits.
