Research Center to create 75+ Jobs

Wilkerson & Associates announced today that it has leased a facility in Henderson for a new market research center. Wilkerson is a leading market-research firm based in Louisville, Ky.

The company has leased a 6,000 sq. ft. facility on Amiet Drive near the Henderson Airport. The facility will employ 50-75 people to start with plans to grow to 100+.

Founded in 1976, Wilkerson & Associates is among the 75 largest in the 8,000-company marketing research industry. The firm provides marketing research, analysis, planning, data collection, coding, statistical analysis, and tabulation support for the public, private and governmental sectors.

“We are pleased that Wilkerson & Associates has joined the Henderson County corporate community,” said Henderson County Judge-Executive Sandy Lee Watkins. “Growing diverse employment opportunities is important for our community.”

The company will be conducting telephone surveys from the Henderson Research Center for a number of newspaper corporations around the country such as The Gannett Corporation, Swift Communications, Cox of Ohio, Lee Enterprises, and Morris Communcations. Also, they will work on studies for Home Depot, Duke Energy, Nisource and many other major US corporations. Other notable clients include an ad agency that handles Toyota, Connect Kentucky and the federal government. The company has governmental contract to conduct a medical survey of Medicare and Medicaid beneficiaries.

According to Steve Alsbury the President of Wilkerson, the company is excited about coming to Henderson. “We are very pleased with our preliminary review of the personnel available in the Henderson area. We need people who are able to speak clearly, as well as being able to type and read well. The people we interviewed fit this model well. Wilkerson & Associates is not a telemarketing company. This will be the company’s fourth call center operation in the Commonwealth.”
