Building

Northwest Kentucky Forward is working with the Webster County Industrial Development Authority on the construction of a 42,000 sq. ft. spec building in the Sebree South Industrial Park.

This building, funded through a line item in a previous state budget, should be ready by the end of January.  A spec building is designed to attract companies that need a facility fast.  The structure is ready and the company can finish to meet their needs.  Let us know if you know someone for whom this would be great location!

Annual Dinner

The first Annual Dinner for Northwest Kentucky Forward will be held on Monday, 12 February, at Wolf’s Banquet Center in Henderson.  Commissioner JR Wilhite from the Kentucky Economic Development Cabinet will be the featured speaker.  Ticket information will be available soon.

New Incentive Program

Kentucky’s newest incentive program is the Kentucky Enterprise Initiative Act (KEIA or “key-a” in economic development speak).  This program allows a company to receive a refund of sales and use taxes paid for construction materials and building fixtures and for equipment used in research and development.  It requires a minimum investment of $500,000.  This program can be used in conjunction with other incentive programs.

Remember, all of Kentucky’s incentive programs require that you receive approval BEFORE you begin your project to be eligible.  Contact us today to discuss how we can customize an incentive program for you.
