Effective November 22nd, the tolls are coming off of the Audubon and Natcher Parkways. Governor Ernie Fletcher made the announcement on September 28. The November 22nd date is approximately seven months ahead of the planned date. According to Fletcher, “By removing the tolls we are clearing a path for new jobs and economic opportunities throughout this entire region.” The removal of these tolls makes Northwest Kentucky a toll-drive!

New Incentive Program

The newest incentive program is the Kentucky Enterprise Initiative Act (KEIA or “key-a” in economic development speak). This program allows a company to receive a refund of sales and use taxes paid for construction materials and building fixtures and for equipment used in research and development. It requires a minimum investment of $500,000. This program can be used in conjunction with other incentive programs.
